The Surface Map Guide The Terragen™ Surface Map Guide describes the ideas behind Terragen's surface mapping system and what all the settings that control the surface map in the Landscape and Surface Layer Editor windows actually do. Many people seem to have difficulty getting started making surface maps in Terragen, and the Guide was written to address that. Once you know how it works, it's really quite straightforward. The intention of the Guide is not to describe how to go about making specific types of surface maps, but rather to give you all the information you need to create surface maps yourself. While the Guide is useful for newer Terragen users, many experienced users may also find it a worthwhile read. The Surface Map Guide is a PDF ( Portable Document Format ) file.
