Released 10/01/05
For information on the major new features in Terragen Mac v0.9, please see this
page. For detailed changes please refer to the Change Log in the v0.9 download.
v0.8.1
Released 10/10/03
- Changed script related menu items and Open dialog text in an attempt to clarify that they apply to native Terragen scripts and not AppleScripts.
- OS X : When painting in the large terrain preview, the second ( right ) mouse button is now recognised for removing terrain ( same as using the option key with the left mouse button ).
- As a somewhat unavoidable consequence of the above, the control key can be used as well as the option key for removing terrain, on either OS X or OS 9.
- Added a fine forward/backward movement to the 3D Preview. Hold down option with any of the forward/backward keys to move just a little bit.
- Fixed a bug where certain render sizes caused an incorrect "Unable to allocate memory for render buffer" style error at render completion. Example problematic size before the fix : 6400 x 4800 with Ultra antialiasing.
- TG Mac now works correctly with native script files that have Mac, DOS and UNIX line endings, previously it only worked with Mac and DOS line endings.
- The Preferences dialog now remembers the last panel selected so it's selected next time you open the dialog.
- Improved behaviour of the Open Recent menu. When you open a file that already has an entry in the menu, older entries are removed. If you have files of the same type and of the same name ( for example, two terrains called "My Cool Terrain" which reside in different folders ) the full path of the file is displayed as a way to better indicate which file is which.
- Fixed a window activation bug. It occurred when you hid TG by option clicking on another app or similar, when you show TG again the front window didn't activate properly.
- There is now a display of the elapsed render time in the status message area of the Output window. You can turn this off in the Rendering preferences panel.
- Prevented the Preferences menu item being accessible while a plugin window was open. If the "Reload Plugins" button was used while a plugin window was open TG would crash.
- Many fixes and improvements to the TGPGuiLib, which is used to provide GUI support for plugins, for those who don't know.
- Removed the License window which appeared on first run, due to problems which I can't isolate on some OS 9 machines.
- Revised some documentation, included a new "Reporting Bugs" document.
