Making Terrain Out of Ice

I've seen some scattered images of icebergs and antarctic scenes but not much about how to do that.  I have TU's snow shader to cover the ground in snow, but how do I make the terrain itself look like it's made of ice, as opposed to the default grey rock?  Can I tweak the snow shader to do that?

Maybe do a search in the forums or search in the Files section.  People have done this before a few times.

I did do a search and I've seen some ices that look gorgeous (most notably the Ice Animation), but not really anything that says how to do it.  The only file I found was the Icy Water one, which while nice for frozen lakes and such, doesn't to my knowledge let me make the ground out of ice.

Getting the look you want may require some experimentation, but making the "ground out of ice" is at its simplest level just a matter of applying your "ice" shader(s) to the entire terrain with full coverage, i.e. no breakup or masking. There's no real trick to it, beyond picking colors, displacement, and shaders that look like ice. The translucency option in the Default Shader can help fake the translucency of real ice, as an example. But unless you want really shiny, transparent ice (in which case you might try the Water shader), it's really more about color than anything.

OK, I did manage to find a good ice shader described here (http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=1925.15) and I love how it looks.

Yes, that's a very good one.
