Title: Rendering with multiple machines
Post by: atsumi on June 22, 2017, 11:16:44 PM
Hi,

Is there any way to render consecutive terragen data with multiple rendering machines?
Hopefully I can render with Backburner network rendering, so that it will process faster and meet for the deadline.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hello Atsumi,

Yes, you can definitely render animations across multiple machines (I assume that's what you mean by "consecutive Terragen data").

Licensed versions of Terragen come with additional render node licenses. Terragen comes with a commandline-accessible rendering mode with a variety of options to control the rendering and output process. The commandline renderer is compatible with many render managers like Backburner, Squidnet, etc. You can find info specific to Backburner here (it's an old thread, but the most recent response is new):

This may also be some useful info for you: http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,11195.15.html

The commandline documentation can be found in the /Docs/ folder of your Terragen install folder.
