Title: preview image output
Post by: mhaze on November 06, 2017, 08:50:28 AM
When you click on the little blue square in a node you get a preview image, is it possible to output this as a mask?

The preview is just a top-down view of the output of that node at 0,0,0 and whatever scale/magnification is set in the preview window. So if you output that node as scalar/color data, it should give you the same thing.

Sorry, I wasn't clear I'd like to output to another program like photoshop for editing.  I was thinking of the output from Daniil's erosion nodes.

Ahhh, I see. There is no standard output method for that kind of data at present. I would suggest a top-down render of it with neutral lighting (e.g. 90 degrees vertical).
