Yes.

Thank you very much!
That kind of stuff helps understanding TG nodes a lot.
Imho presets are the way to go to get new users up to speed with a complex software like TG faster.
They are always a good starting point for finding solutions. Abstract explanations are all well and good
but often do not show how nodes come together as "functions" to achieve real world scenery.
SO, thanks again.

cheers, Klaus

Yes, anyone can learn from these, explore the various facets and with all discretion make new results.

This is WONDERFUL!!!

I know that you put a lot of work into this experimenting or implementing with what you already know. Many of us (or at least me) are not so lucky and spend hours trying to duplicate another, not knowing where to even begin to get these results.

Thank you very much.

Top left is nice, looks like succulent plants. I had that effect once or twice with combinations of nodes. If you color them differently from the ground, they might be quite useful as ground cover plants.

Ground cover seems like an idea worth exploring. Off to find out.    ;)

The art of programming in tg, is not bunching a random number of nodes.
But create something with as few notes as possible.

Because I am not brilliant, how does one merge this to a terrain and limit altitude. I have already tried a power fractal terrain and a merge shader, limiting altitude on all surface layers and no luck. When i add the fractal terrain through the merge, I get crazy negative altitude values in the preview window. Would the displace to zero clip help? Or could you hook these plants to a SSS at ground zero like your other function clips?  A brief example node setup would be nice. Thanks.

#17 scaled and textured...I hooked it to a surface layer.
Thanks again!

Arriving very late to this thread after taking an extended (and involuntary) break from Terragen for several months. Too many other projects. I'm interested in seeing these functions but the original Dropbox link appears to be broken. If someone could repost or send via PM I would be much obliged. Thanks.

I can upload the same files in the File Sharing board directly. After I find those files, I will upload them.
