Title: Lost in Hoodoos WWW
Post by: AndyWelder on November 18, 2017, 11:43:40 AM
There's this strange place I found, it's the cradle of the WWW dating from the stone age.... [attachimg=1]
Never mind, just needed an introduction to present one of my latest renders  ::) Somewhere hidden in it's origins is (part of) Rene van Megen's "Rock surface" file and that's the main reason I did post a clean version of the .TGD at the "File Sharing" section: http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,23833.0.html (http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,23833.0.html) I myself just did a lot of tinkering "the empiric way" meaning basically I moved sliders, changed numbers, did some c&p and undid most of the changes made, thus trying to make up for my lack of insight and understanding of what all these nodes exactly do...
Credits for the telephone pole go to MrMiley.

Nice textures and Rock. The shadows on the left look lovely. The details in the fractals are stunning. I will look up the file you mentioned. Thanks!

Much better here and thanks for the stripped share. Had a chuckle when I noticed the on/off switch....
