Title: Oaken World
Post by: zaxxon on July 24, 2017, 12:26:59 PM
It's my trifecta posting this morning. Happy Monday!  :)

This is a compilation video of some of the Terragen images done with Speedtree and The Plant Factory in the last couple of years:

And a reposting of the image using my Oak variation of a model by Frederic Bec in The Plant Factory.

Wonderful work. The landscapes are very serene. The gully at 1:43 was my favorite.

Nice. Most people wouldn't notice that those are 3d images.

Nice oaks and awesome video. Looks like I'll need a zaxxon folder in animations.videos as well...Once again very appropriate music that supports the vid  very well.

Terrific work Doug :)

It's evident that TG shines in these situations when the sun is behind the camera. My best renders are usually the ones where the sun isn't from the side/front of the camera, but from the back.
Hopefully one day the GI and shaders will become good enough that we can get the same visual fidelity for lighting schemes where the sun is in front or at the side of the camera.
