thanks, lots of rocks on parts of Lake Winnipeg's shore...though this looks more like a river entering a lake looking at it now.

Echo Kadri; rocks need color and water needs less of the tiny waves, much quieter water, maybe some warping whirls and one or two rapids areas, but mostly pretty calm. Good start though!

Thanks for the input folks...I calmed the water a bit, lessened the transparency and remembered the starburst at render time, so that's it got the water...fixed the shore rocks and that's all she wrote for now.

Rather nice final result! I still feel like the shore rocks look a bit odd, out of place, perhaps not dirtied, weathered, or dark enough. But otherwise it all looks great.
