Hello All! I will be going on a "field trip" to Iceland for 10 days starting tomorrow, the 26th of February, and returning March 8th. Iceland is a geology wonderland so I'll consider it a bit of research as well as relaxation. ;)
While I'm away, support response may be slightly delayed. Registration processing will be handled with priority by the other staff members.
Enjoy Terragen 3.1 while I'm gone! Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Thank you ALL for the update. ...and enjoy your away time! ;D
Iceland? Maybe after you can visit Hannes in his castle and have a good laugh at how Im stuck here in hell. On the other hand, iceland in the winter sounds a little cold. So ill just take comfort in that.
But I believe you mentioned some videos. One on using the satellite data, and one on the painted shader. Will you be doing this when you get back, or was someone else doing it anyway?
Have fun Oshyan. And if you get up to the falls the space jockeys used to seed their DNA into the earth, take a photo for us.
I do plan to do a video on the Painted Shader. Not sure about one for GIS (satellite/DEM) data, but it's a good topic, we'll see. That would be when I get back though. :)

Enjoy your trip Oshyan.
And if you get the opportunity, visit the Myvatn Lake area.
It is a pure beauty.

I will wait for your photos!Have a nice trip :)
Great, Oshyan. Enjoy your trip (and learn how to pronounce "Eyjafjallajökull" correctly ;D ;D ;D)
Umm. Its the 13th and no news from Oshyan. So he either fell in love with a hot Icelandic chick, or he fell into a volcano.
He could have experiment "Jules Verne's A journey to the centre of the earth" to find his way back home
probably the internet line is frozen over... ???
Finally he's back. Seems the volcano wasn't that hot. And the chick neither.
;D
The chick was very hot, the volcano less so (but the hot springs...). But yes, I am back. Iceland is fantastic. Highly recommended. But the food is expensive and mediocre. Fortunately I wasn't there for the food. ;)

How did you go about there, camping, hostels, rented a landrover? It's on my wishlist.....
photos?
Good point....photos?
We stayed in a mix of hostels (shared bathroom, private room) and hotels. Honestly the hostel we were in wasn't that great a deal, I'd just go with a hotel next time (this was in Reykjavik). We also rented a car, very necessary. You don't want to camp or try to rely on public transport (or private tours) for anything but a few days staying there in my opinion, especially in winter.
Photos soon, soon. :)

Yeah, you got more work to do now that you're back ;) ;) ;)
Yeah that hostel stuff is crap. I don't think its been a good deal since before I could travel. Plus after seeing the movie by the same name... ;D
