Title: Inside

Illustrating another aspect of TG. The inner beauty of the Power Fractal. :)

Two to begin with.

Enter on your own risk. ;)

Thanks guys. :)

More variations.
The first one symmetrized.

And a different seed.

super cool man!
I was hoping someone would do this... it is a terragen VR contest after all!
the power fractal is immersive, and immense/claustrophobic in this iteration...
#1 has it for me, but I must test all in 360 to be impartial!

Thank you all, really glad you like it. :)

Inside the cloud system of an invisible planet Bobby.

Sorry for the lack of comments from my side, mea culpa. Lots of great entries.
Good luck to all of you.

Bloody Brilliant Jochen...never would have thought of that. Would be doing it now but I'm in hour 16 of a large render.

I have not been trying yet, because I have no clue where to start... How do you do this?!

Jochen, inside the FSPViewer this is really weird stuff (in a good way!). Makes me feel like a mouse inside a cheese, and there is no feeling for up and down. Scary!!  ;D

Bobby - The files are pretty chaotic and confusing at the moment and wouldn't
be of any help to you in their present state.
But you can mail me your file so that I can see where your problem is and then
I'll prepare a more basic demo file that deals with the problematic aspects in
particular and will post it here.Wadd'y'say?

Mohawk20 - It's pretty easy, just applying the usual techniques to clouds.
There is an early example file in the ancient "Hmmmh?" thread. But that one
was pretty large scale. And the cloud shader changed a lot since then and has
                 some more options now.
So maybe wait for the above mentioned demo file.
Meanwhile you could try to find Kadri's threads with his cloud experiments.
                 Definitely worth a look anyway.

Hannes - Yup, the viewer really adds a new dimension to the viewing experience.
Floating in the cheese time continuum. :D

Ah Jochen, I never even got to see the clouds inside the invisible planet and binned all my experiments in disgust at myself. I'll take another stab at it in any case....maybe in the morning here....gettin late and I'm feeling dumb.

No problem Bobby.
Had already started to simplify things actually and so I made a very clean and easy
version that shows the basics. File will be in my next post.

The attached image here shows the 1st iteration with the less cluttered setup.

Now for the demo file.
I have removed almost anything not in use from this tgd. The cloud layer stuff is inside the
planet 2 node.

Feel free to ask, if you got a question.

For the ones that still enjoy looking at this stuff. ;)

One voronoised version.

The second one's structure reminded me of Jason's (inkydigit) reaction diffusion simulation
thingie.
