I'm trying to sort out how to create a moonlit scene with a few luminescent creatures that I suppose would be imported objects.
Is there a way to have objects in the scene be their own light source rather than just reflecting / refracting the general light sources in the scene?
Very roughly, I'm looking for something like the nighttime bio-luminescent scenes in Avatar:

Crank up Luminosity in a Default Shader used as the surface shader for your objects and use high GI settings.
