That's a great news! Thank you Walli!
Thanks a lot Walli, these look really good. We're lucky to have you around.
Thanks a lot indeed Walli!
Going to check them out inmediately after work tonight :)
Martin
I read the announcement and was looking for this thread!
Thanks very much for all your work Walli. It's great to see some extra content, and then it's free as well!
I was wondering, you made these with xFrog, but they are yours, so Greenworks doesn't sell these, or even have them in their assortment right?
Many thanks!
I am working as freelancer for Greenworks and have made many plants that are available.
But I also create my own "stuff", so the objects inside this package are from my "own stuff" collection - which is more freestyle compared to the botanically checked Greenworks plants.
Oh cool!!! I didn't know about this until now.
Thanks Walli!
Thank you very much,it's really appreciated!
Vielen Dank Walli! ;D
Hey, that's very nice of you! Thanks! Your grasses will blend really well with Lighting's High Rez grass. Perfect! Thanks again!
thank you very much !
Thanks a bunch!
Yeah.... thanks a lot.
They look awesome.

Great 8)
Thank you for your generous contribution Walli. I had a quick look, the models look great.
Thanks for this freebie package Walli. Would it be possible for you to make plants to order for sale under your own name as a freelance operator? I'd be an interested customer.
John
Hi,
if you need special plants you might be interested to contact Greenworks - Greenworks also does custom plants. If it does not work out with Greenworks, you are welcome to approach me directly ;-)
Thank you Walli ! :)
I've been away so only just noticed these. Thank you very much for sharing them.
Just noticed this thread too. Many thanks Walli.
I'm in the process of constructing a scene using these great plants. So A Big Thanks is in order, cheers to everyone who made this happen!
Lovely - thank you very much!
Thank you Walli and Planetside ...looking forward to using these models.
Is this package also compatible with Terragen 9 ?

Nope, don't think so. As you can't do objects in TG0.9.
Objects are not supported in Terragen 0.9/Classic. So this pack and any other object will not work.

Thank you very much Walli, I'm using your fern model in a scene right now... and the grasses too :D
Terribly remiss of me not to say a huge thank you to Walli...these are very nice and should be infinitely useful...great community spirit man.. ...
Just found these babies myself. Thanks and what they all said above /hugs 8)
Thank you very much
I am new and was looking for this !
Thanks !!
It's a good idea to look at the Planetside Homepage and look around from time to time. There may be Easter Eggs there; you'll never know if you don't look.
Been a while since I used Terragen and I just upgraded to the animation version. So I am definately looking forward to see the rendering potential of your plants.
Kudos for sharing!
Really nice addition for Terragen2!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
More plants to plant in our garden of Eden !!
i downloaded the pack but i get for every model this error when i try to add as object or population:
Path specified did not exist
What's wrong?
What is the full file path for the object you are trying to add? Does it have non-English (accented) characters in it?
- Oshyan
Thank's Oshyan for the answer; this is the screenshots of the Walli plants folder; as you can see there are some */* in the .tgo names:
[attach=1]
i changed it for example from
Fern\Fern01.tgo
to
Fern01.tgo
and i was able to import as a population.
but some texturees path are broken i rendered the Fern01.tgo but it is hidden. See this the texture name is wrong:
[attach=2]
renaming the names textures does not help. :(
Maybe this models were made for a previuos version of Terragen? i m using the newest Tg3.1 creative + animation.
The models should be fine in TG3, even if they were originally made for TG2. The paths look OK, but it's hard to say as I don't know if that screenshot shows the *full path*. When I mentioned the path, I was not just referring to the "local" path, i.e. the fact that the image files are in a subdirectory (which is *OK*, that should not be the cause of the problem). What I was tying to determine is whether there are accented characters *anywhere in the file path*. In other words if your files are in \home\Öshyań\models\terragen\fern\ then Terragen will have a problem because it cannot handle accented characters in file paths (the O and N in my name in the path have accents). So first verify that nothing in the file path (like your name) has such non-English characters.
If that doesn't help, I would suggest simplifying the file location as much as possible and putting all model and texture files in the same folder. If there are errors on finding the textures in that case, you can relocate them using the error messages as a guide.

My files, both .tgo and textures .tif, in the same folder located in:
/home/walter/Documenti/xfrog/Walli_plants
could be a problem the under slash char.? i can't verify now because i'm doing a rendering in TG3, will verify later or tomorrow..
Anyway thank you for the support Oshyan! :)
Walter
p.s. i need to verify if this isssue happens to me also in my windows partition, because it happens now on linux.
The _ should not be a problem. Please do verify in Windows as we do not officially support Linux at this time.

i have the suspect that it is a linux issue! :)
This issue happens to me also in windows, i need to change the name of the file to use the .tgo: i receive the same error. The difference is if i do a rendering, i can see the Fern in a correct way... in linux instead the rendering give me an incomplete mesh.... If someone else can try those models and confirm my issue or not will be helpful. :)
I have just tested the Fern01 model and it seems to work fine here...

this is a rebus! Is there a option to run TG3 with a verbose output from a command line or a to a log file? Maybe i can have more infos on the issue with such output.
Yes, you can run tgdcli.exe in the installation folder and you'll get a CLI window with some additional info.
