Just a concept at the moment but I'd be interested in your ideas and comments before I take this forward.

Crazy ;) but very interesting. 'Discontinuous gravity planet'. But it is very gray. The harsh clouds take your eyes a little away from the 'actions' in front, so I'd reduce their visual impact, but also make them lighter. And the terrain might benefit from a little more color, but subtle.
Wormhole. I'm going to add some more brighter objects in the fore ground and if I can work out how some decals on the rocks. I agree about the clouds, I'll do some more variations but its hard to find the balance. I'm not good with clouds.
mhaze, those are terragen clouds? Wow, impressive! They look great and brooding...
I also like the debris as well in the foreground.
