Title: Fluctuation/Flutter in Animation Frames
Post by: visualaspirant on September 07, 2016, 02:19:52 AM
I've got GI cache setup but still got these sort of noticeable abberations between frames in an animation. Most notable in the clouds. Take a look and let me know what you think it might be. I'm sort of a freestyle artist/creator so I rarely start with the manual and just jump right in, so perhaps something simple isn't clicked. I believe I did the animation check and like I said, GI cache was setup for the whole thing. This was with the TG4 beta and I did start and stop the sequence animation once or twice. Not sure if that affected anything.

Download the original MP4 here so you can see it in high quality and loop it:

The new "v3" clouds in TG4 do not use the GI cache unfortunately. You need to increase the Cloud GI settings in the "GI in Clouds" tab of the Renderer GI settings. Use one of the animation-specific settings.

I see. I will adjust that setting. Thanks very much.
