Adjust the look of the planet's surface
« on: December 22, 2006, 08:41:50 AM »
Hello, I've just rendered this scene with two Power Fractal terrains (one for the medium features and one for the bigger), reading the tutorial on the wiki pages. All the settings are default, except for the rendering detail at 0.75.
As you can see, the mountains have a "noisy" look :-\ What can I do to make a better rendered image? ???

I would try and increase your atmosphere samples, and definately increase your anti-aliasing as it's not a big hit to the render time.
Please support my Kickstarter for my animated film, Cyan Eyed (using Terragen)!
