Animated water
« on: February 27, 2018, 09:48:17 PM »
I am new to Terragen and have just started with Terragen 4.
Question:
Are the parameters within the water shader (that can be animated) used for animating water for simulating moving waves on the lake?
Thanks for your help!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The parameters within the water shader whilst they can be used for animating water are mostly used for setting the scale and quality of the water.
To get waves to move add a transform shader after the water shader and animate the translate values. The x and z will move the waves side to side but if you also add a animated value to the y the waves will move up and down as well.
