I think V1 works better. Which one do you like more, works better?

Impressive structures, Kadri. I'd go for 2 too.

Thanks all.
Mostly its v2 that others prefer :)
My main concern with v2 was if it feels too convoluted and-or too extreme.

I think I actually like v1 more, I agree v2 is a bit extreme or feels somehow a bit more unrealistic. But they're both great. I really love seeing these epic-scale objects affecting (casting  shadows on, etc.) the atmosphere. So cool!

Thanks.

...what is the size of the object?...

If i remember right (i used an old spherical render to make this) the object is attached to a real size planet.

But if you mean how big the object was i think between 500 Mb to 1 Gb or so.
Working with it was kinda hard. Not just because of the object size.
Finding a good POV because of the big scale etc.
I didn't make a new render because of that.
If i had a better PC i would make more images out of that scene.
Maybe 1-2 years later when i have a new computer.

Edit: Found the original file. There are 8 X 380 Mb objects and one file of an 830 Mb object in it.

When i opened the old scene i tried it with the RTP preview mode.
When you don't use especially atmosphere etc. it is quite fast and much much easier to use with big objects as Matt said in another post.

Sorry and yes, I mean the size in Mb ;)
glad to hear that you can manage that in Terragen 3
Im working with a heavy object (590 mb), not big in size, but very detailed
BTW I dont know if I gonna be able to animate this in TG

If there are no reflection and such objects render very fast you know.
Regarding scene handling, depends on your scene of course,
but i don't think that you will have much problem in animating a scene with a small heavy object.

No 1, just on looking at the whole, and not examining the subject, felt more pleasing on the eye!
Insane concept and structures, beautifully rendered!
