Lovely & all the above said and... I really wonder why my base structures always end up completely (at least very) different
when I try to add layer upon layer like you show in the progress picture.  :o

Fantastic! Although as I said on Facebook, I assumed the scale was smaller before the model was added. So now... I wonder if some of the stones on the canyon floor and/or the amount of sand coverage for them should not be adjusted a bit. Since they appear now that they should be rather large boulders, being much covered by sand seems less realistic to me... Still, this is a minor critique of a gorgeous image with awesome displacement. :)

Thanks for your comment, I better understand what you meant on FB regarding scale... and that's true, these stones are maybe a bit out of scale.. so if I do a next iteration I will change it :-)
