Far Canyon
« on: February 05, 2017, 08:19:57 PM »
I made a short animation. The whole thing took about a weekk or so including a couple of wrong turns and re-renders.
Lens flare and fx are supplied by lightwave via an FBX export of the scene.

It is of course somewhat fanciful but what the heck :)

Pretty cool Richard. I'm curious why you didn't use Terragen 4's native starburst (lens flare) though.

Thanks:)
Mostly I didn't use the native star burst because it does not as yet use create lens reflections and anamorphic starbursts.
It would be great if it did (maybe even have a library of lens types ...)

I'll give it a go, it may give a more stylised "look".

Cool animation. Is there a story behind it?

Thankyou ... No story really although there was the beginnings of a poem/prose piece to be read in a Morgan Freeman voice:

Is there a place.
A forest plane, a bleak mountain, a far canyon,
That calls and pulls on the feet and soul,
Of the un-settled, the un-bound, the un-tethered.
To search and seek and find and search again
For at last that far canyon shall remain
Something searched for but never gained.

Needs more work and a good voice :)
